Bean-ie Baby!

I apologize for the delay in updating! I've been slacking.

Let's see what's been going on...I found out that I did not get accepted into the graduate program at MU. I was pretty devastated when I read the letter, but after I let it soak in I have been able to understand that God has better plans for me. Maybe right now I am not supposed to go or maybe He has a completely different plan for me. I've been trying to figure out what is the next step. Should I apply again? Should I take some graphic design classes and GRE again? Or should I just not apply again at all?

It is a good thing that I have a good job right now.

What else has been going on you may wonder? Well, my friend Jenny and I went to St. Louis/Chicago/Indiana last week. We took the MegaBus from St. Louis to Chicago and then a train from there to South Bend, IN for our friend Amy's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding! It was great to see how focused on God Adam and Amy are and how that is what they wanted to convey through their wedding. They used a couple of Dave Barnes songs during the ceremony and for the unity candle had a friend sing "Center" by Charlie Hall. I love the words to that song.

I thought I would add a few pictures from the wedding and in Chicago. The first one is a slice of Chicago-style pizza at Giordano's! Delicious!

This is Chloe. Amy's neice and flowergirl at the wedding. She was so cute!

Here are Jen and I with Amy...Beautiful girls!! I love them so much! Jen and I are in black dresses because we were part of the "Women of Grace" and "Men of Honor" that sat on the stage during the ceremony. It was neat!

I thought I'd add this picture too... This is Kristin, Amy, Jessica and Amber - they met at missionary training before they all went to Europe. (Amber, if you're reading this, I will send you more pictures, but I thought if you wanted to you could save this one!)

We had a few hours to spend in Chicago before our return bus on Sunday. We, of course, went to The Bean!! This thing is so neat!

Finally, I got a bit artsy on this one...I think it turned out pretty sweet!

Tiny Dancer

My 23rd birthday has come and gone. It does make me a bit sad the one day a year all about me is over. That sentence makes me sound self-centered, but it's true. Each person's birthday is their special day. The day of their first breath and glimpse of the world. Don't hear me wrong, it was a great day. I bought myself Starbucks, a friend at work took me to Ocean Zen for lunch and my old roommate, Kristen, and her husband, Chris, took me to dinner at Zio's. I guess I am just sad that it is over and I have to wait another year for it to come again.
